Approach

Eiger employs an active, fundamental approach to investing in smaller companies using a philosophy focused on intrinsic value. The fundamental value for stocks, upon which investment decisions are made, is generated via internal research utilising a proprietary cashflow based valuation model and company visits that focus on long term value drivers at the industry and stock level. Eiger overlay their cashflow based valuation with their 9 qualitative investment commandments.

Industry and Company Research

Recognises that different industries face different challenges and companies are assessed individually and within their sector group.

Valuation System

The investment team includes specific adjustments for ESG risks and opportunities. Eiger explicitly score each candidate 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) across E, S & G factors.

Portfolio Construction

Eiger’s ESG score has a direct impact on portfolio inclusion whereby candidates assessed as having a score of 1 (lowest) in any category are excluded from further consideration.
