Ben Alexander co-founded Ardea Investment Management and is the Co-Chief Investment Officer, together with Gopi Karunakaran. In this capacity they both share responsibility for overseeing the investment process and investment team, with ultimate accountability for ensuring the performance of all portfolios is consistent with client objectives.

Ben is the Chairman of Ardea IM’s Board and has been delivering industry-leading relative value returns to fixed income investors since 1998.

Prior to Ardea IM, Ben headed the fixed income team at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Australia, with responsibility for investment strategies in the Australian and Asian fixed income markets. Ben also held senior regional positions at Credit Suisse encompassing joint ventures in Asia. Ben began his fixed income career with Credit Suisse in 1991. Ben graduated with Honours in Mathematics from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.
