Jeffrey Jacobs is Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Insurance Solutions Group. Prior to joining Apollo in 2019, Jeff was Global CIO and Lead Portfolio Manager of the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock, where he was responsible for setting global macro investment strategy across all markets, as well as strategic direction and growth of the Global FIG business. In this capacity he led portfolio management teams in the US, London, Japan, and Hong Kong, and was responsible for creating appropriate investment strategies across regulatory environments and widely varied insurance balance sheets. He was a founding member of the FIG team at BlackRock, where he worked from June 1997 through October 2019.

Jeff is a member of the board of the Special Operators Transition Foundation, an organization committed to helping Special Operations Forces veterans transition into private sector careers, and previously served as a Trustee and board member of The Nature Conservancy of Eastern New York. Jeff graduated from Princeton University with a BA degree in History and a Certificate in Environmental Studies.
